New NSPCC Service Centre Opens
Mark Cooper among the guests at Old Town launch
It was a particularly proud day for the NSPCC today in Swindon as staff, supporters and special guests gathered to officially open their new Service Centre in Old Town.
The new office in Little London Court will offer the most up-to-date child protection services to some of the most vulnerable children and families across Swindon.
This includes services that help protect children who have suffered from sexual abuse and a new Childline Schools Service.
Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper and the Mayor, Teresa Page, were given the honour of cutting the ribbon to formally open the building alongside Swindon MP Robert Buckland, 21 years after Princess Margaret paid an official royal visit to open the original NSPCC office in Victoria Road.
