The search for Swindon's top bus driver is at an end, and the results are in - SEE PICTURES

 

To celebrate National Customer Service Week which ran from the 6th to the 12th October, Swindon Travel Choices embarked on a week long quest to uncover Swindon's top bus driver.

 

The aim was to seek out and reward great customer service, such as a friendly disposition, good advice, skilful driving or an act of kindness.
 

Regular passengers were encouraged to vote for their favourites on the Swindon Travel Choices Facebook page, and after a hard fought contest with hundreds of entries - 2 winners were selected.

 

Each driver wins £100 of High Street Pictures

 

So it's congratulations to Thamesdown Transport driver Phil Manning and Stagecoach driver John Dyer! Each receives £100 of High Street Vouchers, and judging from the pictures below - a quite fitting box of "Heroes" chocolates!

 

"We had a great reaction to the campaign," says Claire Fleming from Swindon Travel Choices. "We had over 120 comments on the Facebook site, nearly all praising the work of one or more of Swindon's bus drivers." 

  

There was also a posthumous recognition of former Stagecoach driver Mick Iles, with his wife collecting the award.
