Incident Outside Swindon MECA 

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault on a 31-year old man in the early hours of this morning

 

Wiltshire Police have launched an investigation following an assault on a man at around 5.00am this morning outside Swindon MECA in the town centre.

 

The 31-year old man from Brecon, Wales, was stood outside the MECA building when he became involved in an altercation with a group of men and women.

 

The man was assaulted during the altercation and suffered serious head injuries. He was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon and is said to be in a stable condition.

 

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or have any information that may lead to the identification of any of the group involved in the altercation.
