New Play Area For Swindon Charity
Swindon charity Hop Skip & Jump receives new play area after McArthurGlen Designer Outlet donation
On Tuesday 13th September representatives from McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon joined staff and volunteers from children’s charity Hop Skip & Jump to pick up their paint brushes and put the finishing touches to the centre’s new children’s play area.
£10,000 donation
The recent addition to the Swindon based charity is the result of a £10,000 donation from McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon who worked alongside local tradesman Mr Nick Thomas, from Equinox Building Solutions, to install the new play area.
With centres in Bristol, Cheltenham, Wigan and Swindon, Hop Skip & Jump provide flexible and immediate respite care for children and young adults with disabilities and special educational needs. Operating an “accessible to all” service, Hop Skip & Jump offer high quality care and facilities where both children and adults can learn, develop and play in a safe and well supported environment.
Tina Cumpstey, the centre manager of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon, said; “We’re delighted to have been able to donate a new play area to Hop Skip & Jump and to support the wonderful work they undertake to provide care and respite for families and children with disabilities or special educational needs. They have a brilliant team at the centre and we hope our donation enables them to continue to provide a safe and supporting space for children and young adults with disabilities, to play.”
Clarissa Legg, the centre supervisor of Hop Skip & Jump Swindon, said; “The park will be a great help to all of the children who use our services as it creates a safe, stimulating environment, where they can play. With a new area to run around, climb and explore, they are all very much looking forward to playing on all of the exciting equipment.
We are extremely grateful to the Swindon Designer Outlet for their donation which will bring many hours of fun to the children we support.”
