Oasis 2 - This Time It's Serious!
Now here's something to get excited about....
Back in '76 the Oasis put Swindon on the map; wave machines, dome busters & all. It was something nowhere else in the south had and it brought people here in their hundreds of thousands.
Investment alongside the Brunel Centre that led to Swindon become the fastest growing town in Europe in the 1980s. Boom years.
And now, finally, permission has been granted for a new ski dome, cinema & restaurant complex to make it great again.
The green light has just been given for:
- a ski dome - 14-screen iMax cinema - climbing & trampolining centre - restaurants, 130-bed hotel and more The development is set to be one of the largest of its kind in the UK. The £270 million scheme will be delivered by SevenCapital, who took the reigns of the project 4 months ago, after the previous developers were sacked by Swindon Borough Council for lack of delivery.
