Tributes for Gary
Motorbike crash victim remembered
Laying flowers:
friends and family paying tribute
to Gary Lane |
Tributes have been laid all this weekend for Stratton's Gary Lane, who died in a motorbike accident near his home on Thursday evening.
The most poignant, the message from his parents, which simply read:
'In loving memory of our beloved son Gary "Keep Rolling"
Love Mum, Dad xxxx'
which was placed, alongside flowers, at the scene of the accident at the junction of Ermin Street and Windbrook Meadow.
"He was a genuinely popular guy," said one person of many paying their respects on Saturday afternoon, "and it's all a real shock."
"Apparently he just popped out for a packet of cigarettes, and this happened?"
"It makes you want to live everyday to the max, doesn't it?"
Mr Lane, 23, died after a collision with a car, just after 7.30pm on Thursday 02 October.
The Police are appealing for witnesses.
