At the Abbey Meads Indian restaurant in Shaw Ridge, Swindon Mayor Steve Wakefield joined owner Mr Ali, plus fifty special guests at a curry fundraiser in aid of three nominated charities.
"It’s very important for us to support the charities close to people’s hearts," commented a delighted Mr Ali, who personally added over £300 to the evening's funds.
"And an honour to have the Mayor here with us here tonight."
