Melinda Messenger Gives Birth to Daughter

Swindon's favourite daughter now has has her own favourite daughter after Melinda Messenger gave birth to a bouncing baby girl on Thursday, 18th December.

The new-born, Evie, is Melinda's third child and is the sister to the 32-year-old's two sons, Morgan and Flynn.

Arriving nearly two-weeks early at the town's Great Western hospital, the new addition to the Messenger family weighed in at 61b 7oz and is reported to be doing 'very well."

"We're all delighted at the news," said Melinda's father, Terry.

"I know Melinda and Wayne were hoping for a girl so this really is the best Christmas present we could ever wish for," he added.

The TV star, who was voted 'Celebrity Mum of the Year in 2003', is now expecting to take the first part of 2004 away from the cameras to look after her growing flock before returning to present her highly popular programme 'Loose Lips' in late Spring.
