Prince Philip In Swindon
With the sad news of his passing, we look back at his last visit to Swindon to officially open GWH & New College in 2003
The Duke of Edinburgh had visited Swindon on a few occasions in his 99 years, so we thought we'd dig a few pics out of our archive of his last and most memorable official engagement here on 28 February 2003.
A trip that included the exciting prospect of officially opening the Great Western Hospital; meeting students at the new education facility at New College and - in the pouring rain - switching on the Jubilee Clock in Swindon town centre.
