Snow time Swindon - Let it snow! 

The gritters were already out early this morning while most people were still tucked up in bed blissfully unaware of the sight yet to greet them.

Welcome to snowtime Swindon - a day of sledging, snow ball fights and snowman making. For the lucky ones to get the day off that is!

With nearly forty schools in the area closed today because of the cold, it was an opportunity for schoolchildren and fortunate parents to make the most of a rare weekday having fun at places like Coate Water, The Lawn and Lydiard Park.

And, of course, we braved the treacherous driving conditions to capture on camera and video everyone enjoying the Swindon winter wonderland.
