Speedway season gets off to a perfect start
Following a parade of Swindon Town’s League Cup-winning heroes, Don Rogers, Roger Smart and Joe Butler (who triumphed at Wembley on this day in 1969), Swindon's much anticipated 2007 speedway season got off to the perfect start tonight.
A comfortable 18-point win over local rivals Reading Bulldogs the reward for some excellent riding by Leigh Adams and his team, who treated a healthy crowd to a wonderful night of entertainment.
