Hiya gorgeous!
The search for Miss Swindon is over
The Miss Swindon & Miss Wiltshire competition came to dramatic conclusion as the two top titles were awarded at a ceremony at The Old Bank on Saturday.
22-year-old University student Sherie Smith grabbed Miss Swindon, and 21-year-old tele-sales worker Elishma Fernandes won Miss Wiltshire.
Sherie impressed judges on the day, who, looks-aside, described her as a 'confident and intelligent young woman'.
"I can't quite believe it still, but I'm over the moon," Ms Smith said, "I'm not your typical beauty queen with short hair and fair skin, but I hope to bring something a bit different to Miss Swindon".
Sherie replaced Rebecca Cole, who has held the title for the last 12 months.
The bigger title of Miss Wiltshire went to an equally-shocked Elishma who said: "I'm so shocked, but so excited to have won and got a place in the Miss England finals".
The judging panel were joined by current Miss England, Laura Coleman and the 2007/08 Miss England Georgia Horsley who helped pick the winners
Other winners on the day included Lora Humphreys winning Miss Popularity title with almost 1000 public votes, and Jenny Spence winning Miss Wiltshire Charity for her work raising money for the National Autistic Society.
We're sure to be featuring Sherie and Elishma as they step up to represent their town and county in the coming weeks and months.
