Swindon Robins Get The Season Started
The Elite League Champions unveil their 2013 team
This week saw the reigning Sky Sports Elite League Speedway Champions Swindon Robins unveil their 2013 team to an invited audience of sponsors and journalists at the Abbey Stadium.
The team are still basking in the glory of that magnificent night in October when the Wiltshire riders won the premier competition in Britain for the first time since 1967.
In addition to that the team have managed to secure the services of the main protagonists from last year in the form of the captain Hans Andersen, Australian Troy Bachelor and Dane Peter Kildemand.
The rest of the side is made up of a second Australian Nick Morris, Brits Edward Kennett and Ashley Birks (reserve) and Polish rider Kacper Gomolski (reserve).

The first track action at Blunsdon is next Thursday (14 March) with the annual Bob Kilbey Memorial Meeting, before the season get underway with a two leg race meet on 28 and 29 March against the Poole Pirates for the Elite Shield.
The first regular season meet is at Abbey Stadium against Lakeside on 04 April.
