Patched-up Robins fail to make early advantage pay

After Thursday night's carnage at the Abbey Stadium, it was hardly surprising the Robins fell short against Coventry this evening.
 

But after leading by twelve points after five heats, the story could have been oh so different.

 

A superb tactical ride by the the Bees in heat six giving them an 8-1 - and the momentum they needed to go on to victory.
 

"With two guest reserve riders brought in, it was always going to be difficult for us tonight," commented Robins team manager Alun Rossiter.

 

"But we had a chance. And didn't build on it. And I'm sort of disappointed by that."

 

The loss leaves Swindon second in the Elite league - two points behind leaders Poole.
