Wildcats add experience to their blue line
Swindon Wildcats are delighted to confirm the return of experienced senior defenceman Lee Brathwaite
The Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey club are delighted to confirm the return of experienced senior defenceman Lee Brathwaite to their line-up for the forthcoming 2008/09 English Premier League Ice Hockey campaign.
Brathwaite, 30, started last season with the club's Development-tier side owing to professional commitments elsewhere, but became available in early November and rapidly restored himself as one of the most dependable and important players in the team.
Described as a consummate professional, the widely respected player has spent most of his senior career with Swindon having progressed through the local junior ranks.
"It's great to have Lee back. When I realized Lee was looking to play again this season it was a very easy decision for me" said Wildcats Head Coach Peter Russell.
Brathwaite becomes the fifteenth acquisition for the Wildcats, with the final names expected to be announced in the next couple of weeks.
The club expect to confirm their fixture schedule and pre-season activities in the coming days, including details of a special meet the players event.
