Wildcats announce two more signings

Wildcats sign Moore and Hayes

The Wildcats are delighted to confirm that former Great Britain Youth International Shane Moore, has re-signed to their roster for this autumn's English Premier Ice Hockey League season.

Moore, 21, returned to the Wildcats roster last season to rejoin his former Coach after a year with the Milton Keynes Lightning.

Despite a short spell on the injured list midway through last season, the young Swindon born player continued to improve under the tutelage of Head Coach Peter Russell, and will be looking for a strong season in the new-look Wildcats lineup.

" Moorsey is back for the new season and is in the best shape of his life. I am expecting to see a faster and sharper Shane Moore this year". Said coach Peter Russell.

Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey are also delighted to confirm that 18 year-old Welshman Jamie Hayes returns to their roster for the 2008/09 English Premier Ice Hockey League campaign.

Hayes debuted at the Link Centre guesting for his native Cardiff Devils when they visited for a challenge match against the Wildcats in September 2006. Having impressed the Wildcats coaching staff, Hayes was invited to split his time between the Wildcats in the Premier League and the Cardiff Junior programme.

The young forward has shown solid development during his time with the Wildcats, and the coming season will be an important one in the feisty young forward's career.

"Jamie is back for his 3rd season this year. He is still young but he is big and strong for his age. Jamie is another who I expect to see more personal development over the summer break and I know he is going to be coming to us bigger and stronger". Said Head Coach Peter Russell.
