Old Town Festival
BEEN AND GONE
The popular Old Town Festival is set to be as popular as ever this year.
A fantastic week of family fun, with a spectacular range of entertainment on show on The Lawn and around Wood Street.
If history is anything to go by,
there are sure to be plenty of smiling faces all round.
Armed Forces Day
BEEN AND GONE
Swindon is gearing up for an extended celebration of Armed Forces Day which will involve veterans, supporters of servicemen and families alike.
From a Retailer Veterans Badge Ceremony to a Family Fun Day and Military Parade there is something for everyone.

Wimbledon in Swindon town centre
BEEN AND GONE
Fancy watching a spot of tennis during your lunch-break or while shopping - or even having a go?
Then Wharf Green is the place to be.
A mini tennis zone complete with a full-size court with umpire’s chair, artificial grass and a picnic area under the Big Screen is being set up during Wimbledon fortnight.
Delta Tennis Centre coaches will also be on hand to provide free tennis coaching, games and competitions.
Bands & Beer!
Saturday 13 July
Talented local bands and musical acts from Swindon and surrounding areas will be gathering as part of the Stratton Festival for the Stratton Stroll on Saturday 13 July.
The Stratton Stroll is a crawl of 6 of the Arkell's pubs and venues in Stratton, with a range of live music from various acts featuring at each venue.
All venues are free entry promising music and entertainment with something for all and many of the venues welcoming and accommodating families with children.
Friday 12 - Sunday 14 July
Ox Fest is a 3 day family festival of fun and frolics for all ages, all set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.
It's a celebration of all that's good about Oxfordshire, showcasing local talent, performers, live tribute bands and artists plus quality food and drink from local suppliers and Award Winning pubs and restaurants.
To top it all off, Ox Fest have got some of the biggest UK tribute acts appearing live, including Abba, Michael Buble, The Beatles, Girls Aloud, Black Eyed Peas, Madness, Bob Marley, Take That, Fleetwood Mac & more!
Swindon Summer Of Cycling
June - August 2013
People across Swindon are being invited to gear up for a summer of cycling, as a packed programme of two wheeled activities, events, and rides gets underway from 01 June.
With a partnership between the voluntary sector and Swindon Borough Council, there are events for everyone of all ages and abilities!
Royal International Air Tattoo
Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 July
Here in Swindon we're lucky enough to have the world's biggest air show right on our doorstep!
Thousands are expected to watch as man and machine are pushed to the limit at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in July.
An electrifying combination of raw power and technology will be unleashed in the ultimate display of 21st century airpower.
The 70th anniversary of one of the Second World War's most audacious bombing missions wil also be commemorated by a special flypast.
The Big Summer Session
Friday 26 - Saturday 27 July
Peter Andre, Katy B, Five, Wiley and Blue just some of the names lined-up for The Big Summer Session taking place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July at The County Ground.
For two days, some of the biggest names in dance and pop come to Swindon for the best summer party in town, including Katy B, Wiley, Tinchy Stryder, Ms Dynamite and Alexis Jordan as well as performances by former Britain's Got Talent acts McNasty and Luminites.

Ali Campbell's UB40
Saturday 13 July
Following his departure from UB40 in 2008 Ali and his band have toured across the world in countries ranging from Australia to Europe and Africa to the UK.
As well as selling over 60 million records worldwide and touring across the globe, he is best known for his vocals on classics such as ‘One in Ten’, ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Don’t Break My Heart’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’.
His albums Flying High and Great British Songs released in 2009 and 2010 have both been in the top twenty albums and have given Ali the Best critical reviews of his career.
Thursday 01 - Sunday 04 August
Fieldview Festival is one of Wiltshire's biggest summer events, and is all about music, amazing people, unbelievable moments and the incredible positive impact people can have when they come together.
Run by volunteers, all the profits go towards the charities & causes the organisers support.
Saturday 14 September (a bit later than normal!)
An all-day celebration of South Asian culture and creativity bringing Asia's carnival atmosphere to the streets of Swindon.
Each year Mela boasts a colourful array of singing, dancing, partying, and a chance to enjoy a variety of Indian food from one of the many stalls located throughout Town Gardens.
And best of all - it's completely free!

The Wanborough Summer Show and Carnival promises lots to do and see for all the family! Including:

Uffington White Horse Show
Sunday 25 - Monday 26 August
A traditional two day country show which takes place over August bank holiday Sunday and Monday.
The Show is located in fields overlooked by the famous bronze age figure of the Uffington White Horse, which is over 3,000 years old.

The Big Screen at Wharf Green
This summer Wharf Green will be transformed into a town centre oasis with the addition of artificial grass! So take along your picnics (and champagne!) and enjoy the comfort of the open air arena!
Giacomo Puccini’s 'Tosca'

Wharf Green will once again play host to the annual screening live from the Royal Opera House - this year it's the turn of Giacomo Puccini's popular composition.
Passion, intrigue, revenge, a beautiful diva and fabulous music - Tosca is one of the great opera experiences.
This story is a thrilling and heartwrenching tale of passionate love, jealousy, murder and suicide featuring Martina Serafin as the tragic Tosca and Aleksandrs Antonenko as her lover Cavaradossi, with Scott Hendricks as the evil Baron Scarpia who plots their destruction.
