Just when we've all recovered from the festive onslaught that is Christmas, it's hard to believe that the time for big cuddly bunny rabbits and chocolate eggs is virtually upon us!
To keep you busy we've put together our guide of what's happening over Easter in Swindon. So read on!
Crafty Easter Eggstravaganza!
Friday 18 April
FREE Good Friday fun in The Parade with an Easter egg hunt, basket decorating and rabbit face painting.
Easter Eggs Galore at Thorntons!
There is something for everyone this Easter at Thorntons - you can even go the extra mile with a personal message iced onto your favourite egg for FREE!
Meet the Easter Bunny with Eggs-tra!
The cost is £4.50 per child for a visit with the Easter Bunny and includes an Easter Egg, certificate and a photo opportunity.
The garden is open daily: 11.45am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11.45am – 4.00pm Sunday.
Easter breakfast & story-telling
You can also book a Breakfast session with the Easter Bunny at Mrs Allison’s Bakery on the upper level of The Plaza from 15th – 19th April 10am – 11.30am daily.
Breakfast includes a sandwich, drink, bunny cookie making and storytelling for £9.75.

Pretend you want some Sunday morning exercise, and then ask your kids to come with you! Tell them it's an Easter Egg hunt, and they'll say yes.
Easter Egg Hunt at The Royal Oak, Bishopstone
Easter Sunday, 20 April
The Royal Oak is planning to lay 100 organic eggs in the Eastbrook valley - with ten fancy fancy ones to find! There are also tractor and trailer ride too!
Both the egg hunt and pub will be busy so please book.
Easter Egg Hunt at Purton Organics
Saturday 12 April
Come and celebrate the arrival of spring with us on the farm, and the kids can join in our eggs-citing Easter egg hunt!
The Farm Shop will be open 9am-4pm on Saturday 12th April and, as usual, bursting with local goodies and treats; plus there will be farm and woodland walks to explore, animals to meet (the chickens and pigs are particularly inquisitive), and hot drinks, snacks, lunches and cakes to enjoy. Entry is FREE.

Otters, Meerkats & Bearded Dragons in Swindon
If Easter Weekend has a spot of rain, don't worry! Get a taste of the tropics at Studley Grange. They've got hundreds of butterflies flying about plus loads more to see and do including a display a mini beats including snakes & a bearded dragon!
Their outdoor animal paddock includes otters, meerkats, ducks, geese, rabbits and goats.

FREE Tractor and Trailer Rides will take visitors on an adventure to find the Easter Bunny for the ever popular Easter Bunny Chase - rumour has it, he has learnt some new tricks!
Children's Craft Sessions offer visitors the opportunity to snip, stick and decorate Easter cards, pictures and fluffy chicks to take home.
As you'd expect at Easter, the lambs will be running around the farm, and there are plenty of chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits in Pets Corner for visitors to hold and stroke.

Open from Easter to the end of September every year, Butts Farm always has plenty of hands-on activities going on incl. goat milking, bottle feeding, pony rides and chance to meet all of farm's rare breeds pigs and piglets.
