The main event - the Lights Switch-on in Wharf Green - takes place on Thursday 17 November, with events like the Light Parade, Christmas Concert and German Market during November and December.

An evening full of entertainment with the theme "12 Days of Christmas" hosted by More Radio FM DJ Mike Read.
Guest appearances include Panto star Keith Chegwin plus sporting starts Ryan Aldridge from Swindon WildCats and Paolo Di Canio from Swindon Town FC.
Live performances on the main stage include Swindon Talent winners Ovation and Lynette Mutuota and a festive performance from Swindon Dance.

This year the Santa's Grotto is supporting Goldenhar Family Support Group (UK). Goldenhar Syndrome is an umbrella term for a wide range of bone abnormalities affecting the face and sometimes the vertebrae.

The Christmas Market returns for a second year but this year will be located along Canal Walk. This is your chance to smell the delights of the continent whilst purchasing those unique presents for your loved ones.
Christmas Concert

Big Screen, Wharf Green
10.30am - 3.30pm
The Swindon Young Musicians will be performing their end of term concert live on the Big Screen at Wharf Green.
With a whole range of musica ltalent from the Senior Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Flute Choir, String Ensemble and Senior Percussion Ensemble as well as the Swindon Rock School who have recently been on tour in Belgium.
Festival of Light Parade

Regent Circus - Wharf Green
6.00pm - 7.30pm
A chance for families across Swindon to join in a grand lantern parade through the town centre.
Meeting up at the Town Hall in Regent Circus at 6.00pm, the procession will then follow down Regent Street, through the twinkling festive lights of the Christmas Market along Canal Walk and into Wharf Green to be welcomed by traditional carols sung by the Salvation Army.
