The Shocks Of Mighty idea came about in 2003. Around the time when Pop-A-Top Records was first launched. Initially set up by Johnny Rench, Nevil Banton and Erin Bardwell.
A platform to launch reggae nights with Erin & Johnny as the selectors and Nevil as the DJ. The idea was to play their own music (Pop-A-Top recordings) along side classic West Indian & associated music from the 1950s to present day.
The Reggae Riddim Club
Bristol's own Reggae Riddim Club - founded in 2011 by guitarist Len St Laurent (Full House / Planets / Tao / Prime Funk) - features the unique sound of Richie Love Davis on vocals and congas, Mark Spence (Restriction) on Drums, Oisin RS on bass, Josh Agasee on Tenor Sax and Beni Williams (World Jazz Unit) on keyboards & melodica.
Doors: 8pm
