Rollicking through 10,000 years of history at breakneck speed, Bryony Lavery’s ‘Witchcraze’ traces the origins of the 17th century witch persecutions to the suppression of the pagan beliefs of our ancient ancestors.
There’s music, masks, murder and mayhem, a runaway broomstick, and a Punch and Judy show (with a nasty twist) in this powerful, sometimes funny, sometimes disturbing but always entertaining witches’ tale.
