2012 marks the 50th anniversary of Jamaican independence and is set to be a year of International celebration.
Join the Arts Centre on a journey of the Jamaican story told by the heroes and sheroes that lived it.
Jamaica 50 features a host of greats including Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, Miss Lou, Mary Seacole, Queen Nanny of the Maroons, and the country’s first prime minister, Sir Alexander Bustamante.
With the music of Bob Marley, poetry of Miss Lou, adventures of Mary Seacole and oratory of Marcus Garvey, this brand new play from the writer and director of the excellent “Rivers to Cross” is not to be missed!
