Verden Allen of Mott The Hooples latest project is Soft Ground.
With former Tigertailz drummer Matthew Blakout and guitarist Jamie Tyher (Worried Men) and bass player Rob Hankins, the group have a very distinctive rock and roll sound and some very original material, also playing some of the Mott The Hoople classics.
Also guesting on drums occasionally will be Martin Chambers of The Pretenders.
