Presented in association with Swindon Secular Humanists God, gods, and religion have been the subjects of heated debate in print and broadcast media in recent years. Many of the chief protagonists have expressed themselves in extreme and acerbic terms because, it seems, a great deal is at stake.

There is a need for calm, clarity, and clear thinking. In his new books, The God Argument and The Good Book, writer, broadcaster, and Professor of Philosophy at the New College of the Humanities, A C Grayling takes a thorough look at all sides of the argument.

He pays due respect to those who hold beliefs, but provides ample evidence of the value in taking note of the collective secular wisdom of the world.
