Wyvern Theatre
Swindon
Sunday 02 June 2013

By Public demand, the Wyvern Theatre is thrilled to host the return of a choir of Military Wives and The Band of The Royal Anglian Regiment & Guests after two sell out performances in January

There are approximately 75 Military Wives choirs throughout the UK, Germany, Cyprus and the Falklands which are either established or being developed under the guidance of The Military Wives Foundation.

Representatives of The Military Wives choir have released two number one albums, claimed the coveted Christmas Number 1 spot with their song Wherever You Are and appeared at numerous memorable occasions including the opening of the 2012 Olympic stadium. They have also contributed to the Gary Barlow & Andrew Lloyd Webber single Sing, to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 11, as well as winning a classical Brit.

This performance comprises of a specially selected regional Choir of Military Wives as well as The Band of The Royal Anglian Regiment, compered by BBC TV & Radio’s Howard Leader.
Also joining The Defence Academy MWC on stage will be X Factor finalist Jonjo Kerr.

Jonjo is a serving soldier with the 3rd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment and recently returned from Afghanistan. He recorded In my Dreams with the MWC in 2012 and performed this at the service of remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Jonjo will also be performing his new single You Are My World which is due to be released soon.

Proceeds from this concert will go to The Military Wives Foundation, to continue and encourage the development of choirs across the UK, Help For Heroes and selected RAFA charities.
