The next Wiltshire Roller Derby bout takes on a Doctor Who theme

 

Oasis Leisure Centre, Swindon

The Wiltshire Roller Derby team hosts Day 5 of the Heartland Series South West Division this August, with the Dorset Roller Girls taking on Basingstoke Bullets Roller Derby, and the Wiltshire Roller Derby vs Surrey Roller Girls.

 

The Roller Derby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and is even one of 8 sports being considered for the 2020 olympics!

 

Each game is played with two teams of up to 14 skaters, with only 5 from each team allowed on the oval track at one time. The aim is to be the team with the most points at the end of 60 minutes.

 

The event in August promises to be a great day for all the family, and fans of Doctor Who should be particularly entertained - but watch out for those Daleks!!
 

Dancers from Kitty Langan Studio will provide the half time entertainment, plus you can expect a raffle, cakes, various stalls, photo opportunities, and more.
