Swindon Flood Fair

STEAM Museum hosts a free event for advice and information relating to flooding

The National Flood Forum in conjunction with Swindon Borough Council and the Environment Agency will be putting on a Flood Fair at Steam Museum where people from Swindon and the surrounding areas can come for advice and information on all issues relating to flooding.

 

People attending the event will be able to speak directly to representatives from Thames Water, the Environment Agency, Swindon Borough Council, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue and the National Flood Forum.

 

A number of flood action groups that have been formed across Swindon will also be in attendance and there will be an opportunity to find out more about their work, how to join a local group, and information and guidance about how to set up a flood action group.

 

The flood exhibition will also feature a number of stands and exhibitors who will showcase various products that can help protect properties in the event of flooding.

 

FREE flooding film and e-learning DVD

 

People attending the event will be able to pick up a free flooding film and e-learning DVD which are packed with information on what one can do before, during, and after a flood, and computers will be on hand for people to try the e-learning package for themselves.
