Fun drop-in activities on offer at the Steam museum

Taking part in a fun activity drop-in session and following the new ‘Stanley the Spider’ trail are among the many fun things to do at STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway this October Half-term.

 

'Brand the World' activity sessions are back on Thursday 25 October, following the great success of these activities, designed and managed by STEAM’s Learning Team.

 

The drop-in sessions on 25 October cost £1.50 per child in addition to standard and STEAM season ticket admission.

 

They take place at the STEAM Exploration Station, located on STEAM’s recreated 1930s Station Platform.

 

The sessions run between 10am – 12.00 noon and 1pm – 3pm.

 

Meet The Railway Workers

Saturday 03 November

 

On 3 November (between 10am and 4pm) it's a chance to ‘Meet the Railway Workers’ volunteers, who will welcome everyone aboard No. 6000 King George V, No. 3440 City of Truro and No. 4073 Caerphilly Castle.

 

 

Children will receive a special GWR Certificate when they successfully change the points in STEAM’s GWR Signal Box at the Meet the Railway Workers event.

 

Plus, there's a chance to get up close to STEAM’s new acquisition, the GWR heavy freight locomotive No. 2818.
