David Crystal - on the perils of being a linguist
As part of the Swindon Festival of Literature.
To coincide with the publication of his autobiography, Just a Phrase I’m Going Through, linguist David Crystal casts a humorous eye over a career of delightful and often dangerous encounters with, among others, belly-dancers, red-light low life, bribery, kidnapping, revolution, and murder.
