Buzzcocks.... are coming!

Legendary British Punk band heads for M.E.C.A. - 29 APRIL

 

This April one of the original British Punk bands will take to the stage at Swindon’s brand new music venue M.E.C.A.

 

The Buzzcocks are genuine punk rock superstars who have been cited as inspirational by bands as diverse as REM, Nirvana and Green Day - not to mention the BBC Music Quiz programme!

Eight studio albums, over twenty singles and EPs, a constellation of compilations, covers by other bands and songs on film soundtracks and advertisements have put Buzzcocks among the top echelons of British recording artists.

 

“What a band to have come to Swindon and come to play at the M.E.C.A,” commented Steve Causer, GVS Entertainment Ltd spokesman.

 

“We are all excited about seeing the Buzzcocks take to the stage. They are such an iconic band, and one that will appeal to a broad range of people.

 

"They don’t play many gigs and do a lot of the festivals, so this is a real coup and we are expecting a lot of people to travel from all over the country for this event”  

 

Special guests the Computers will be joining the Buzzcocks on stage, with local band the Charred Hearts also supporting.
