Walk through Time at Barbury
When: Sunday 24 July, 10.00am - 12.00noon
Where: Meet at Barbury Castle car park
From the start of the Trail at Overton Hill, The Ridgeway, said to be
Europe's oldest road, climbs gradually to Barbury Castle Iron Age fort.
Nearby there are round barrows, Celtic field systems and 18th-19th
century flint workings. The West Saxons are said to have defeated the
Britons here in AD 556.
This event is run in partnership with National Trails and the event leader is Michael Lilley.
Please wear clothes to suit the weather, sun hat and suncream if hot.
