Swindon boxers battered at the Oasis 

Young and Reid suffer defeats at the St George boxing event

 

It wasn't the best results for two of Swindon's top boxers lat night.

 

Both Kelvin Young and Marlon Reid were stopped in their respective fights at the Oasis.

 

 

Young was taking part in his 3rd professional fight, but the bout only lasted just longer than a minute before he was sent tumbling to the canvas by his opponent Paul Brown.

 

Reid survived until the fourth round, until a right hook from Stefan Hughes sent him falling into the ropes and out for the count.

 

Alicja Dabrowska took a victory on the night against flyweight Juliette Winter.

 

But the Polish fighter had to work hard for her narrow 59-57 points victory.
