Carmen - Live on the big screen 

A night of Opera at Wharf Green - SEE PICTURE GALLERY + SWTV

 

One of the world’s most famous operas, Carmen, was screened on the BBC Screen Last night.

 

Over 100 people turned up at Wharf Green for a pre sing along live from Trafalgar Square in London and then to watch the Royal Opera House screening of Carmen.

 

 

Swindon opera lovers were able to see the sumptuous production free of charge in a cordoned off enclosure at Wharf Green.

 

"It was a marvellous evening for Swindon," commented Carol Heneghan, Director of Marketing for the New Swindon Company which is co-coordinating the town centre regeneration.

"We are thrilled to have such a prestigious production beamed live from the Royal Opera House into the town centre."
