Nicholas McCarthy in Swindon
Acclaimed concert pianist born with only his left hand plays in aid of the Goldenhar Support Group
Crowds were entertained last night by the music of Nicholas McCarthy, an acclaimed concert pianist who, despite being born with only his left hand, now studies piano at the Royal College of Music.
The concert was in aid of the Goldenhar Support Group.
Supported by Olivia Dance, winner of the Supreme Cup at the Swindon Music Festival 2010 and Nathan Selladurai, classical guitarist, winner of the Swindon Young Musician award,
Nicholas was also supported by Kentwoods, Shella Harrod, Yvonne Walker, Kathy Hobson and Graham Davison-Smith.
"The evening has been a great success," commented Alan Holmes, organiser of the event.
"It's been fantastic to get Nicholas here, he is truly inspiring and I'm so pleased that tonight we have raised £1180 for the Goldenhar Support Group."
