Swindon Dog Wins The Arc - In Swindon!
Ballymac Cryan storms to victory in the Ladbrokes Mobile Arc 2012
The champagne corks were popping last night as local dog Ballymac Cryan romped to victory at the Abbey Stadium in the final of the Ladbrokes Mobile Arc, broadcast live on Sky Sports HD.
The two-year-old, owned by Swindon trainer Matt Dartnall, produced a fantastic finish to edge Droopys Loner by half a length.
Ballymac's victory makes it two in a row for Swindon dogs in the Arc, after Jolly Poacher won the same race last year.
The picture below shows a proud Mr Dartnall (in the red jacket) with his winning dog and connections. The first prize included a cheque for £8000.
