It's A Mousetrap!
Cast launch Swindon show at The Rat Trap
For over 50 years, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has been the world’s longest running stage production. The first ever tour of the record-breaking production opened on 11 September 2012 in Canterbury and in February 2014 the legendary show will visit Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre.
This Thursday (10 Oct), ahead of performing in the town, the cast made a visit to The Rat Trap, Stratton, and we were there to speak to them!
The cast for the third leg of the tour includes returning company member Karl Howman as Mr Paravicini alongside: Joanna Croll as Mollie Ralston, Ellie Jacob as Miss Casewell, Christopher Gilling as Major Metcalf, Anne Kavanagh as Mrs Boyle, Henry Luxemburg as Giles Ralston, Ryan Saunders as Christopher Wren and Jonathan Woolf as Sgt Trotter.
“We were delighted to host the cast of the Mousetrap at the Rat Trap,” said Mark Richardson, landlord of The Rat Trap in Stratton St Margaret. "Pubs and crime novels are great British traditions and we raised a glass to both.”
Mousetrap Productions has licensed 60 productions of The Mousetrap world-wide to mark the 60th year. During this period the world’s longest running show will be seen in every continent, with professional productions scheduled for Australia, China, Korea, Turkey, South Africa, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Scandinavia, Venezuela, and across the United States and Canada.
Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap will run at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre from Monday 03 – Saturday 08 February. Book tickets by visiting the Wyvern Theatre website or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481
