Will Hutton at the Arts Centre

On why we need a fair society

Arts Centre
Swindon
Monday 14 May 2012

Unfairness has proved to be economically inefficient and socially toxic. So, fairness is the new cool word in our coalition government.

But how to achieve it is proving a hot and tricky topic. What does ‘fairness’ really mean? How can it be achieved? Have we got the right approach? Who’s doing what for fairness?

Author of best-selling The State We’re In, writer for the Observer, vice chair of the The Work Foundation, and leader of the government’s Fair Pay Review, Will Hutton musters some brilliant and convincing arguments, that challenge both left and right, in his latest book Them & Us: changing Britain – why we need a fair society.

Doors: 6.30pm

Tickets: £6, Concessions £5, Multi Book £5
