The D-Word at the Arts Centre

Talking about death, dying, and green burials, with Sue Brayne and Liz Rothschild

Arts Centre
Swindon
Tuesday 15 May 2012

What is your outlook on death? How much or how little do you think about it? Do you think about what happens before and what might happen after you die?

Death is a tricky and emotive subject. It’s possible to go through much of life without having direct experience of death.

As a result, rather than accepting it as part of our life, we can find ourselves running away from it. When death is approached and talked about openly, it can remind us, in a life-enhancing way, of the preciousness of being alive.

Accredited psychotherapist, researcher into end-of-life experiences, and writer, Sue Brayne is author of The D-Word: talking about Dying.

Celebrant for marriages, namings, and funerals, Liz Rothschild is founder and keeper of Westmill Woodland Burial Ground near Swindon.

Doors: 12.30pm

Tickets: £5, Concessions £4
