It couldn't have been a better day for the launch of a new fly fishing club in Fairford near Swindon.

 

The Bull Hotel, who own the rights to 1.5 miles of superb fishing water on the River Coln next door, held a 'try it' day with free expert tuition available.

 

 

Casting instructor Jim Williams was on-hand to give guidance and advice to those who already fly fish plus those completely new to the sport. Some people even travelled down from London to take part in the day.

 

"This stretch of the river Coln offers some of the best fly fishing in the country," Jim said. "I always enjoy coming here and it's fantastic that The Bull are now starting the club that will give others the opportunity to enjoy it as well."
