Compassionate living, reverential ecology, and voluntary simplicity are terms happily used by members of a thriving online community called Our Future Planet. It seeks ideas for real and achievable change.

Author, broadcaster, international speaker, former monk, long-term peace and environmental activist, Editor of Resurgence magazine, and Visiting Fellow at the Schumacher College, Satish Kumar is active for his causes in countless ways.

Carrying no money and depending on the kindness of strangers, Satish once embarked on an 8,000-mile peace pilgrimage. He walked from India to America to deliver a humble packet of peace tea to world leaders. He is the author of books that include No Destination and Earth Pilgrim.
