Highworth Christmas Lights 2014

Hundreds enjoy lantern parade, music & carols in the market square           

 

The people of Highworth once again gathered in the market square to celebrate the switching-on of the Christmas lights.

 

The fitting festive occasion included a lantern parade from pupils from Highworth's schools, carol singing, music from the Highworth Silver band, mince pies, fairground rides, carol singing and, of course, an appearance from Santa on his sleigh.

This year Jan Boddy from the Highworth Historical Society was given the honour of illuminating the High Street alongside the Mayor, Pam Adams, who thanked everyone for coming and local firm TS Tech for sponsoring the event.
