Designer Outlet begins its countdown to Christmas

 

Shoppers will be able to enjoy free live entertainment and meet real reindeer as Swindon Designer Outlet kicks off its festive season this Saturday 14 November.

 

The Christmas lights switch on event starts at 2pm and will include carol renditions from Purton Pealers, storytelling with Isambard Kingdom Brunel and Swinderella, the outlet’s version of the classic Cinderella story (details of full line up below).

 

Children will also get the chance to meet Santa’s real reindeer who will be flying into the outlet for the celebrations, and the Ugly Sisters from Swinderella, who will be roaming around the outlet throughout the afternoon.

 

“The lead up to Christmas is always an exciting time at the outlet. We’re really looking forward to welcoming shoppers for the range of festive activities on Saturday," said Nick Williams, marketing manager at Swindon Designer Outlet.

"It promises to be the most magical light switch on ever. We’d encourage our shoppers to make a day of it – they can come down to the outlet to enjoy the entertainment, and also get a head start on their Christmas shopping by picking up some fantastic gifts at bargain prices.”

 

Swindon Designer Outlet, which is open until 8pm weeknights, is located just off junction 16 of the M4.

 

It is home to top brand names including Hobbs, LK Bennett and Ted Baker, all with up to 60 per cent off typical high street prices.
