Henry Sandon

BBC’s Antique Roadshow potaholic Henry Sandon will be viewing and valuing ceramics at the Swindon Arts Centre on Sunday 25 April.

The public are invited to bring in ceramics one hour before the show for Henry to analyse, appraise and advise on.

The show itself is filled with illustrations and witty anecdotes from a lifetime’s experience in antiques.

So, here is your chance to get an expert opinion on your pottery, china or bizarre whatever!

The finding of Medieval and Roman pottery in his garden rudely changed Henry Sandon’s career in music and this led to him becoming a potaholic, in love with his pottery and porcelain.

He was appointed Curator of the Worcester porcelain Company and the Dyson Perrins Museum, a post he held for 17 years, carried out an important series of archaeological excavations, which have changed our understanding of Worcester porcelain and written a number of books.
