Swindon Festival of Literature 2010 - Gaby Halberstam

GABY HALBERSTAM – an illustrated talk, on growing up in South Africa.

If a people is as their land and their air is, what are the experiences of a little white girl in South Africa?

Novelist Gaby Halberstam writes from first-hand experience.

Her first book, Blue Sky Freedom, is a powerful story of love, loss, and courage during the 1970s apartheid regime.

Her second, The Red Dress, is a coming of age story about love and family life.

This event is suitable for young people aged 12 years and upwards, and definitely good for grownups!

Tickets - £6 (£5 )

DOUBLE TICKET £10 for two events:
Gaby Halberstam 6.30pm and Barbara Trapido 8pm

Please contact the Arts Centre for bookings and any other enquiries.
