Swindon Festival of Literature 2010 - Peter Tatchell

PETER TATCHELL – putting the Bankers on Trial!

Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, Sylvia Pankhurst, Martin Luther King, and Malcolm X; listed by The Independent as one of 50 “good” people in Britain; ambusher of Tony Blair’s motorcade, in protest against the Iraq war; outer of 10 Anglican bishops; human rights spokesperson for the Green Party; and winner of the 2009 Campaigner of the Year Observer Ethical Award, Peter Tatchell cares about things he sees as wrong and sets out to put them right.

Tonight, he puts the boot in on bankers, presenting the case for economic democracy and explaining how he believes that free market capitalism has failed Britain, and the world.

There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion about this and other related topics.

Tickets - £6 (£5)
