Battle of the Bands at Pentylands Park
Twenty youth bands set to take to the stage in FREE event
The Friends of Pentylands Country Park in Highworth are hosting a
FREE live music event in Pentylands Country Park on Saturday 21st August 2010.
Gates open from 11.00am.
The
Battle
of the Bands Festival has been organised for young bands as part of the 2010 Highworth Year of Culture.
Guest artists
LOCOMOTION will open the music with a LIVE performance, commencing at 12.00pm. They will be followed by bands taking part in the battle for the top prize.
The winning band will receive 2 full days in the Gatehouse music studios, including the recording of a CD, with production help from the studio, and advice on promoting and marketing the CD.
They will also have 100 CDs burned & printed with the bands logo, as well as a visit to the Marshalls amp Factory and £100 of Holmes Music vouchers.
Prizes will be awarded to the runners up and the top three bands will all have the opportunity to perform live at Riffs Bar.
