Applause!

On Sunday 04 December, celebrity guests and local talent will join forces to raise funds to keep the arts alive and kicking in Swindon!

The Swindon Arts Centre is proving that Swindon does have talent and is putting that talent to good use for it’s very own fundraising show and a couple of celebrities are stepping up to the mark to lend their support too...

This year not one but two celebs are giving up their time for free to support the show, Josh Dubovie and Patrick Monahan.

In 2010 Josh Dubovie was selected to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest and travelled to Norway to carry the flag the with the UK entry ‘That Sounds Good to me’ and has since released his first album.

Comedian Patrick Monahan takes a break from TV shows such as Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo and more recently the new ITV show Show me the Funny to lend his support.

They might not be the only familiar faces appearing as Jack Stuckey is also joining the line up having appeared on ITV’s X-Factor in 2009 and now he appears with his new singing partner Alastair Ward.

Everyone appearing in this gala show is giving their time freely, as are all the crew and production team.

Swindon’s own talent propping the show up includes Swindon Music Festival trophy winners Jill McRae & Becci Benson with their beautiful rendition of ‘Tell Him’. Jill and Becci have been singing together for many years under the name of CraeSon and had their own sell out show at the Arts Centre.

Also appearing will be Jack Townsend who trod the boards at the London Palladium in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang back in 2005.

Last year Danni Marsh appeared as the VIP interval act during Applause! but this year she is appearing on the main stage!

James Daubney enthralled audiences and judges in Swindon Talent 2010 and now he is showcasing his guitar talents in Applause!

Direct from London’s prestigious Brit School, there will be 4 talented vocalists in the form of The Fortes and Geoff Marsh makes a welcome return as compére and where Geoff goes his stalwart partner in crime Ken Jell is never far behind.

Opening the show will be Stagestruck’s Alex Greenfield and Miss Kell’s School of Dance with a sparkly number guaranteed to set the mood for a glitzy evening of top class entertainment!

This promises to be a night to remember with something for everyone and all in the presence of the Mayor of Swindon and the Arts Centre’s Patron and TV personality Richard Digance.

Tickets: £10.00

Limited V.I.P Tickets: £15.00 (drink and entertainment in the FoSAC Studio is included)

Tickets are now on sale from the Arts Centre Box Office on 01793 614837
