Lego Fest 2010

Come and see the creation of a giant Super Mario mosaic built from nearly 9000 LEGO tiles!
 
The Museum of Computing in Swindon will be staging an a LEGO fest this Saturday 11 December.
 
With the highlight of the day being the creation of a giant Super Mario mosaic built from nearly 9000 LEGO tiles!
 
 
Everyone is welcome to take a part in the mosaic creation and also in the ‘great tile counting competition’. A fantastic LEGO set is waiting for the winner!
 
Visitors will be able to make their own games characters from LEGO bricks and there will be a chance to play LEGO computer games including N64 LEGO Racers, LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars.
 
For budding robotics engineers, there will be an opportunity to program their own LEGO MINDSTORMS® robot.
 
"It’s going to be an awesome day out for everybody," commented Simon Webb, Curator of the Museum of Computing, "I have to admit a serious passion for LEGO and for computer gaming, this event is a bit of a dream come true."

The museum will be open from 09:30 to 17:00.
 
Admission fees are £5.00 for a family ticket, £2 for adults, £1.50 for Students and Concessions, children age 6-15 yrs cost £1, under 5's go free.
