Another Year (12A)

Mike Leigh’s latest celebrated film depicts a year in the life of Tom and Gerry, a middle-aged London couple who have managed to stay together and remain blissfully happy into their autumn years.

 

But they are surrounded by friends, colleagues, and family who have very different stories. Jim Broadbent and Ruth Sheen lead as the couple, and Lesley Manville delivers a virtuoso and painfully realistic performance as the unhappy Mary.
