SWINDON YOUTH SLAM!

Stanza & deliver - the heat is on to find the top young poets at this year’s Festival of Literature!

Audiences will be able to see young people draw words from their imagination and hit the stage with clever and quick-fire wordplay.

Following wordshops in schools across the region, delivered by seasoned slammers Sara-Jane Arbury and Marcus Moore, Swindon’s wittiest young wordsters will perform their most slamtastic poetry in a bid to reach the hearts and hearing parts of the audience, with wonderful words that reach parts that lesser words might not reach!

Who will become Swindon’s Poet Idols and have their names on the prestigious seventh Youth Slam Cup?

Listen carefully, think hard, cheer loudly, and discover the truth that makes young minds tick.

These are the nine secondary schools taking part in this year’s seventh Swindon Youth Slam.

Churchfields School, Greendown Community School, Highworth Warneford School, Isambard Community School, Kingsdown School, Nova Hreod School, The Commonweal School, St Joseph’s Catholic College, Swindon Academy.
